A Guide to Drainage Correction
Drainage Correction

A Guide to Drainage CorrectionEvery home site needs proper drainage. If your site doesn’t have adequate drainage, it can result in over-accumulation of water close to your foundation. This can put continual pressure on your foundation, and eventually cause it to heave, or shift upward. A proper drainage system will minimize this by directing water away from your foundation. Generally, a simple surface drainage system consisting of a flexible pipe and various area drains will be sufficient to remedy the problem. If the ground around your building does not slope enough so that the water naturally drains, you may need a sump pump to aid the drain in its discharge.
